The City of Independence is an incorporated place (Class Code P1) located in Trempealeau County at latitude 44.3615 and longitude -91.4191. Trempealeau County is in the Central time zone (GMT -6). The elevation is 781 feet.

The formal official name is the City of Independence, but most people and references simply refer to it as Independence, Wisconsin.
