History: | Named for the family of Justice Charles H Crownhart, who purchased this six acre forested island in 1913. The family lived here, in a cabin built in 1891 by previous owners. Justice Crownhart was a prominent attorney in Superior, and later he served on the Republican State Committee and the Supreme Court of Wisconsin. |
