This document states the terms and conditions that govern the agreement between HTL, Inc., the publisher of the HomeTownLocator state gazetteers (hereafter: "Publisher"), and a business, business professional or an organization that wishes to be a Top-Spot Local Advertiser ("Top-Spot Advertiser") for one or more Community Profiles for an incorporated city, town, village or a Census Designated Place (CDP).
For purposes of this advertising program, a Community Profile shall consist of the lead page of each of the six tabbed sections for each specified community. These tabbed sections are:
Note that a Top-Spot Advertiser can be the advertiser on no more than five community profiles and that the Publisher has the right to decline to accept an offer to become a Top-Spot Advertiser for any or even no reason. In general, the Publisher is inclined to reject applicants from adult businesses, multi-level marketing promotions, "Get-Rich-Quick" schemes and programs where people are told they can make thousands of dollars each month by working at home on their own computer for just a few hours per day.
The Top-Spot Ad includes a title (maximum of 30 characters), two lines of text (maximum of 35 characters for each line), a URL (a Uniform Resource Locator or "Web Address") and, optionally, 100x100 px square graphic (logo, photo or image) in the upper-right of the masthead area of the lead page of the six tabbed sections of a specific community profile. The Top-Spot Ad position on the six lead pages of the Community Profile will display the Top-Spot Advertiser's ad and no other for the subscription period. The subscription period can be either 30 or 90 days. The subscription period must be selected and paid for in full during the registration process.
